The Tavropos River is Greece’s best river for beginners or for those with minimal experience rafting. We set off from Palia Viniani and raft for 10 km. The banks are covered with lush vegetation and great scenery. The trip ends at the Bridge of Megdova and the impressive Viniani waterfall. We recommend Karpenisi for accommodations.
The renowned monastery Panagia Proussiotissa is nestled in Proussos which is a short hike away from Karpenisi. The hike will take you through the lush fir covered mountains of Chelidona and Kaliakouda.
