The Voidomatis River is one of the clearest rivers in Europe and is ideal for beginners. An added bonus is the breathtaking landscapes along its banks. The route is 5 km long, requires no special skills and rarely presents unexpected obstacles. For this trip we start at the Aristi stone bridge in the heart of the Vikos-Aoos National Park.
Zagori is a compilation of picture perfect stone villages set in a magical pine and fir forest. The most picturesque of the villages is Monodéndri. Hike out on the rocky trail to the Vickos Gorge that starts in the central square. From the Gorge it’s a moderate walk to the Monastery of St. Paraskevi or to the Drakolimni - an alpine lake in the Pindus mountain range.
